Upside Down Terms and Conditions

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. Ticketing: All Upside-Down House regular tickets MUST be bought ONLINE via the Landmark Citizen App or the Upside-Down House website. There is NO on site ticket purchase options for regular tickets. You can only purchase VIP Tickets on site.
  2. Refund Policy: Regular tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE, regardless of adverse weather conditions, queues, or reasons beyond our control. However, payment of the flexibility fee enables a visitor that arrives late for their time slot to be rescheduled for the next available time slot on the SAME DAY.
  3. Admission Time: You are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes before your time for ticket processing. Opening hours are from 10am- 8pm and ticket processing closes at 7pm. Failure to come on time for your scheduled time slot without paying the flexibility fee will lead to AUTOMATIC LOSS of the slot.
  4. Prohibited Actions: While in the Upside-Down House, visitors are prohibited from:
    1. a. Selling goods to third parties.
    2. b. Intentionally blocking paths or obstructing the view of rooms.
    3. c. Causing disturbances to other visitors, including loud phone calls or other noise
    4. disturbances.
    5. d. Bringing pets or animals.
    6. e. Smoking.
  5. Photography and Video: Visitors are only allowed to take pictures and shoot videos WITHOUT additional lighting and tripods. Commercial shoots, press interviews, media shoots, and professional video equipment require advance written approval from and supervision by the Upside-Down House representatives or staff. The Upside-Down House team reserves the right to take photos and videos for promotional purposes, including potential appearances of visitors.
  6. Supervision of Children: Children and Minors below the age of 13 years WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the experience unaccompanied by an adult. We require a minimum of one adult per five children.

PRIVACY

  1. Personal Information: Landmark processes your personal information, such as financial data and full name, provided by you for booking and related purposes. We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who assist in operating our service, including payment service providers and web hosting companies.
  2. Data Retention: Landmark will process your information as long as necessary for our processing purpose and legitimate interests. Storage may also be required for technical reasons.
  3. Use of Visual Material: Photos, videos, and film recordings made by visitors may not be used for commercial purposes without written permission from the Upside-Down House Management. Costs may be charged for such use. By visiting the Upside-Down House, you agree to the publication and duplication of visual material, even if you are recognizable, for the Venue's commercial and business activities.

LIABILITY

  1. Visitor Responsibility: By entering the Upside-Down House, visitors acknowledge that they do so at their own risk and expense. Visitors are responsible for their own safety and well-being while in the house.
  2. Excluded Liability: The Upside-Down House Management will not be liable for any indirect, or consequential losses or damages, including but not limited to losses or damages caused by:
    1. a. third party actions or omissions.
    2. b. non-compliance with instructions or rules by the visitors.
    3. c. events beyond the Upside-Down House Management’s control, including force majeure, natural disasters, or government regulations.
  3. Limitation of Liability: In no event will the Upside-Down House total liability arising out of or related to the visitor’s presence at the Upside-Down House exceed the greater of:
    1. a. the Booking Fee paid by the visitor or
    2. b. one hundred thousand Naria (N100,000).
    3. whichever is lower.

Rules for Guests Entering the Upside-Down House.

  1. Ticket processing: Ensure that your tickets are processed at the information centre before proceeding to the viewing room.
  2. No Touching, Taking of Objects, Climbing of Furniture & Fittings: The upside-down furniture is part of the visual attraction and should not be sat on or climbed, as it may be fragile or fixed to walls/ceilings.
  3. Footwear: Please wear flat, comfortable shoes. High heels or slippery footwear will not be allowed for safety reasons, as some surfaces may be angled or uneven.
  4. No Running or Jumping: The layout of the house is unconventional. As a result, running or jumping could lead to accidents. Please walk carefully and at your own pace.
  5. Supervise Children: Children and minors below the age of 13 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. We require a minimum of one adult per five children. Due to the unique structure of the house, close supervision is essential for their safety.
  6. Respect the Props: Many objects in the house are fixed in place for the effect. Please do not try to touch, move or tamper with them.
  7. No Food or Drinks: To ensure the house is always clean and free of spills, no food or beverages are allowed inside the house.
  8. Photography: Feel free to take photos but be mindful of other guests and avoid blocking pathways or exhibits while doing so.
  9. Health & Safety: Pregnant guests are not allowed in. Guests with vertigo, motion sickness, or other balance disorders should be cautious. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, feel free to take a break or leave the house.
  10. Personal Belongings: Hold onto your belongings. You are advised to not carry valuable items into the house. Due to the disorienting nature of the house, it’s easy to misplace or drop items.
  11. No Pets: For the safety of the animals and other guests, pets or other animals are not allowed inside the house.
  12. Follow Tour Guide Instructions: Please adhere to the guidance provided by the staff to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment of the experience.
