Every month, one story gets told the way it deserves to be told. A nurse who stayed. A teacher who believed. A stranger who chose to act against all odds. Inside a house that has its own story of quiet, stubborn survival, we honour the people who carry that same spirit.
Tell us about someone making a positive difference.

We feature a hero monthly at the Upside-Down House.
Lagos, Nigeria · Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, 1956–2014
In 2014, Nigeria faced a potential national health crisis, the Ebola outbreak. Dr. Stella Adadevoh made the bold decision to contain the country’s first case.
Her sacrifice became a symbol of integrity, service, and humanity.
Dr. Adadevoh contracted the virus in the line of duty. She died on August 19, 2014. She was 57 years old.
We believe her story belongs here, in a house that refused to fall, a symbol of courage and a reminder of what it looks like when a person holds their ground and that decision changes everything.
Today, through the work of the DRASA Foundation, her legacy lives on — educating, training, and protecting future generations.
